Stress Eating: As mentioned in our earlier post, emotional eating can be a significant obstacle to weight loss. Developing coping mechanisms other than eating, along with stress management techniques, can help break this cycle.
Lack of Nutrient Diversity: A diet that lacks diversity can result in nutrient deficiencies, which may lead to cravings and overeating. Aim to incorporate a wide range of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats into your meals.
Underestimating Portion Sizes: It’s easy to underestimate portion sizes, leading to consuming more calories than intended. Use measuring cups, a food scale, or visual cues (e.g., a palm-sized portion of protein) to ensure you’re eating appropriate portions.
